200A BATTERY - GS AUDIO 45 x 37 x 11 cm - 60 LTO CELLS - 14.4 V + BMS AND BARS

Pack consisting of 60 prismatic LTO cells, assembled with BMS and aluminum bars, loaded and balanced, ready to use.

All our packs are assembled at the time of order, so it takes a couple of days to complete assembly before shipping.

These are 2.4V cells and 20 amps each; put in series they form a 200A battery with a voltage of 14.4 volts, ideal for audio systems up to 17500-20000 WRMS

There is only one worldwide manufacturer of these cells, and that is Toshiba, which produces only 20A cells. Be wary of those who quote higher numbers on their labels.
Charging between 14.4 and 15 volts is recommended. If your alternator operates at a voltage lower than 14.4 volts, an upgraded alternator is recommended.

All of our GS AUDIO cells are Grade A, with an extremely low internal resistance, guaranteed to be less than 0.35 milliohm.

LTO CHARACTERISTICS

What does a lithium titanate battery look like?

In the LTO battery, lithium titanate oxide (Li2TiO3) replaces graphite (carbon) in the anode, an element found in classic lithium-ion batteries. The cathode can be lithium manganese oxide (LMO) or lithium manganese cobalt oxide (NMC).
Under the microscope, the LTO reveals a three-dimensional structure consisting of lithium titanate nanocrystals. The cell has a voltage of 2.4 V, can be recharged quickly, and can withstand a discharge current of up to 10 times its rated capacity.

BENEFITS

The advantages of the new lithium titanate battery technology lie mainly in the anode surface area, which is about 100 square meters per gram, compared with only 3 square meters per gram in conventional lithium-ion batteries (3.7V). This greater surface area available for electron passage allows for rapid charging and longer battery life.
This means that less charging power is required and these batteries can be safely recharged in about 6-10 minutes, rather than the 8 hours required for other rechargeable batteries. In addition, the charging efficiency exceeds 98%.

RISKS

The lower operating voltage (2.4V) compared to conventional lithium cells (3.7V) offers advantages in terms of both safety and environmental impact. The absence of carbon in lithium titanate batteries reduces the risk of thermal instability and overheating, which are the main cause of fires in traditional storage systems.
According to tests conducted and verifiable by any LTO manufacturer in the world, an LTO cell subjected to a short circuit reached a maximum temperature of 90-100°C without causing explosions or fires, phenomena to which traditional lithium-polymer batteries can be subjected.
