Alternator mechanically compatible with the cars listed below. By mechanically compatible we mean that no brackets will need to be added, but it may be unavoidable to replace the belt and/or pulley with the vehicle's original belt and/or pulley.

We would like to point out that the installation of the new alternator may cause the red warning light on the dashboard to come on, as GS Audio alternators are competition products that are not original to the car. Therefore, we strongly recommend that the installation be done by competent personnel at authorized installation centers or directly at our location.

Choose an EXTERNAL REGULATOR for end-of-charge batteries. 3 types depending on the batteries in your possession:

1- end of charge at 14.2 volts >>> suitable for lead, AGM and lithium Lifepo4 batteries typically installed in RVs;

2- End of charge at 14.8 volts >>> indicated for AGM and lithium LTO batteries;

3- End of charge adjustable with potentiometer from 14.8 to 16.5 volts >>> indicated for lithium LTO batteries and car electrical system separate from charging system.

** IMPORTANT ** BEFORE purchasing, it is critical to verify that the original alternator currently installed on your car has the same brackets and pulley as the alternator you are about to purchase .

** IMPORTANT ** most cars cannot be powered with voltages higher than 15-15.5V so to get to higher voltages, it is essential to disconnect the car's electrical system from the battery charging system. GS Audio GS Audio disclaims all liability for any errors in assembly and wiring by the purchaser and for damage to cars with improper use of the alternator or batteries overcharged with voltages higher than those specified by the manufacturer! The battery pack to be recharged above 15 volts should always be disconnected from car electronics, but with alternator charging ground in common.

Electrically, it will be necessary to replace the charging cable with a 50mmq copper cable to the battery pack and add an under-key positive for automatic alternator ignition.

CORRECT OPERATION: po properly operate the alternator needs its control unit which will be connected to the alternator plug (4PIN) plus the REMOTE >> single blue wire will OBLIGATELY be connected under key.

In the alternator remote control wire, which is intended for ignition, it is essential to ensure that current is sent only during engine operation. Otherwise, the alternator could overheat and risk irreparable damage

EQUIPPEDCONTROLLER: Equipped with an always-on voltmeter and a button for activating/deactivating the alternator in necessary situations. The unit is designed to operate in "automatic" mode through the use of the sub-key. Simply keep the switch on and the alternator will automatically activate when the engine is turned on.

PLEASE NOTE.

To safeguard alternator life, Gs Audio recommends in the case of LTO battery installation to carry the positive alternator cable directly behind in the trunk with a length of approximately 4mt and an ideal cross section of 50mmq pure copper or 80mmq CCA.

We PROHIBIT larger diameter sections and installation with alternator cable going directly ''onto the LTO pack in the engine at 1 meter''

The actual current delivered depends on the number of revolutions of the crankshaft and, consequently, the size of the original pulley. For example, if your pulley has a diameter of about 14-15 cm (typical for a 1200cc FIAT gasoline engine), the alternator is likely to deliver a charging current of between 130/150A at low RPM (about 800 rpm) and up to 270A with light acceleration around 1500 rpm. For vehicles with diesel engines, which usually have larger diameter pulleys, the RPM ratio is higher, bringing the charging current to about 150-170A at low RPM and up to 340A in the music phase at 4000 RPM of the alternator shaft.

GS AUDIO alternators should never be jumpered close together.

2 INSTALLATION OPTIONS:

1 If the Gs Audio alternator replaces the original alternator: you must replace the original positive charging cable with one of 35mmq copper or 50mmq CCA cross section while leaving the control plug (auto wiring free). However, this modification will cause the battery indicator light in the dashboard to illuminate. It is important to note that only an electrician, through software intervention, can turn off the warning light.

2 If the Gs Audio alternator is added (e.g., in front of the enginewith the previous cable and ECU modes), leaving the original behind the engine: itwill be necessary to disconnect the positive battery charging cable from the car's original alternator, but keeping the control plug inserted in it. This will result in turning off the battery warning light on the dashboard. It is essential to note that under no circumstances should the coarse positive charging cable from the original alternator be left connected, as simultaneous use of two different alternators can result in rapid damage to one of them.
